Grey Heron (Ardea cinerea)

Quietly an adult grey heron remains at the river bank slope. The neck is drawn in between the shoulders:

"Oh, a visit from Mrs. Pukeko!":

"Let's see, if Mrs. Pukeko friendly enough roused a fish!":

"Well, rather not. What a pity!":

"Ok, then I´ll take an extended bath!":

Luckier with catching fish was this heron in the natural preserve of Palmones:

And he really successful swallowed this big fish!
