At Rodalquilar until the end of the 20ies century precious metals were mined. The quartz of volcanic origin proved to be auriferous and so it happened a real gold rush:

This field way is only drivable with the own car during the winter season which is poor with tourism. When the beach season starts the road is closed for the normal traffic and the beaches are only to be reached by walking or with the bus.
