Extremadura

Travel report Extremadura / Cáceres May 14 - 17 2009

Omnipresent were in these landscapes corn buntings and thekla larks. And some of them even sat still for a few photos!

Just marvelous …

… on nearly each pole …

… or fence to see sitting corn buntings there!:

And then this soft song of the thekla larks, which was to hear all the time!:

"Just a moment, we can not only sing here, because at least …

… we also have to supply our breed with food!":

"But for the moment I take a break and protect the territory!":

"And I take a sunbath. Good things take time!":

Everywhere were legions of Spanish sparrows to be seen!:

And also northern shrikes as well as their cousins …

… the woodchat shrikes are to be seen there very often!:

"Well, now quickly also mention me!", the little owl was begging with big eyes!
