…excitedly for something to eat:
We continued our way along the bumpy road and what we got to see there, I was not able to catch with the camera:
They were too far away all the hundreds of pied avocets, flamingoes and redshanks. Also a huge group of long beaked shorebirds. I guess that were black-tailed godwits:
In the midday heat there was heat haze in the air and that´s how these photos were made, which only show a fraction of what we have seen:
Of course in this marshland also raptors have a habitat with abundant food supply.
Here a short-toed eagle:
A booted eagle in its pale morph:
And a red kite who again and again ….
… frightened and terrified with his flyovers the large shorebird gathering:
