Here obviously a stork raised his offspring on a lighthouse located on the left bank
And here the huge nests in the trees …
… which we discovered on the wayside:
Also the forgotten little pilgrimage church could be such a stork's paradise, if only the overhead lines wouldn´t be there!
A much better deal made this proud colony in the forgotten farm house:
Although it was broiling, we opened the windows and often spared the air conditioner, just to enjoy the wonderful vocal accompaniment on these ways. Because everywhere you can hear the cheerful bee-eaters, starlings are calling excited their offspring. Hoopoes let sound their 'uup' 'uup' 'uup', red kites communicated with squealing calls up in the sky and between the trees the herons react cawing annoyed when they felt discovered and the everywhere around stilts disclosed by their loud scold, where they were! A perfect idyll!!!
In this heavily vegetated area of course it is difficult to get the birds in front of the lenses. But from the "camotent car" we were able to make a few pictures.
A bee-eater is taking a rest in the shadow after his hunting excursions:
For Mr. Hoopoe he also seems to feel pretty hot:
